What a time-serving weasel justice secretary secretary Jack Straw is.
Today he told the Iraq War inquiry that he had ‘agonised’ over the decision to go to war and that, politician’s vanity, without his agreement it wouldn’t have happened.
He also took the trouble over the weekend to leak a document with his reservations about the barmy venture.
Yet Straw it was who fronted up on the Today programme every day it seemed to tell John Humphrys that the decision was go to war was justified by UN resolutions with cobwebs on them, dating back to the early 90s from the war to boot Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait.
Now he’s trying to drop his old boss Tony Blair in it.
But when you kill the king you also get rid of his courtiers.
And Straw should be the first for the chop.
