The Sun’s home page leads on the dreary antics of Big Brother inmates day after day even though there’s oodles of evidence that long-suffering Channel 4 viewers tired of it several series ago.
Mr Blatherskite thinks this must be evidence of some hitherto undiscovered Murdoch interest in the production but can’t find any, sadly. There seems to be no other reason.
C4 only keeps it on air because of the money it gets from the phone-in (and the fact it fill lots of airtime on the cheap).
Elsewhere in the media round, OK! magazine is under fire for its picture of a dead (or dying) Michael Jackson on the cover of its tribute issue. Well it’s not exactly ‘cut out and keep’ is it?
Mind you, at last count, a petition against the magazine had only attracted 167 signatures, despite the crazed ranks of Jacko fans.
By owner Richard ‘Dirty Dickie’ Desmond’s usual standards this is massive approval.
