The sainted Johnny Depp, recently voted the most popular cinema actor by British audiences, says he never watches his own films, or rushes or playbacks for that matter.
“My kids have seen more of my films,” he says, averring rather mystifyingly that by the time a film is completed it’s “all about money.”
Depp, whose latest film Public Enemies about gangster John Dillinger has just opened, has yet to win an Oscar or even a British BAFTA although he’s usually nominated.
This is a scandal that should be remedied forthwith although Public Enemies might just fall short.
