Chelsea’s Ashley Cole is reported to be miffed that other Chelsea players earn more than him (reminiscent of his bust with Arsenal when he left in a huff after being offered only a measly £5,000 a week extra).
So he’s attracting the attentions of big-spending Real Madrid (where do they get all their money from? Are they running the Spanish lottery?) who have probably realised they could do with the odd defender to go with a forward line of eight or nine players.
And let’s not knock Ashley too much. He has A-List wife Cheryl to keep up with you know, complete with £4,000 skimpy frocks.
