Not just MI5 of course but David Miliband, Tony Blair, Jack Straw, Jacqui Smith, the whole lot really. Even Gordon Brown, when he pops back to the country.
After delaying for weeks attorney general Baroness Scotland has asked Met commissioner Sir Paul Stephenson to investigate former Guantanamo resident Binyam Mohamed’s claims that MI5 was complicit in his torture in various CIA jails around the world.
Stephenson, who’s only just taken over from Sir Ian Blair, needs this one like a hole in the head, but the self-styled ‘down to earth’ rozzer will just have to get on with it.
His first call should be Connaught Square, London W2, where Tony Blair resides when he’s not in America or Jerusalem.
