Will Smith is the star most likely to get your film made says Forbes magazine in a new survey.
The star of Seven Pounds and Hancock provides the reassurance studios and other backers need to stump up the cash, ahead of other names like Johnny Depp, Leonardo di Caprio and the all-pervasive Brangelina duo.
This doesn’t guarantee that your film’s going to make any money of course, another name on the list is George Clooney and his Leatherheads opus bombed at the box office.
Smith’s do pull in the punters though, last year’s summer comedy hit Hancock making $624m worldwide.
No mention of Tom Cruise in all this though. Is all that Scientology stuff turning off backers as well as fans?
