That knight in shining armour Piers Morgan says that reality TV personality Jade Goody is right to rehearse her impending death (or so we’re told) from cervical cancer in public, saying she’s providing for her children and raising awareness of cervical cancer.
He says screenings for cervical cancer have “gone through the roof”.
Jade is planning to marry fiance Jack Tweed on Sunday and the event is likely to be televised.
Put this way he’s right. The opposite view, of course, is that this is just an extreme form of reality TV and a demeaning way to treat life and death issues.
Reverting to type he also tells ITN that he’d like to machine gun old foes Jeremy Clarkson and Private Eye editor Ian Hislop.
Now that would be worth watching.
