The Sun newspaper in London has discovered Life on Mars, no not an old copy of the David Bowie record but real, live, living, breathing and farting microbes. The last function is important because the newspaper's report claims that the north side of Mars is covered in huge clouds of methane and it reckons, along with 'experts' professors Lisa Pratt and Michael Mumma (no, I haven't made this up) that this indicates the below ground presence of zillions of microbes, all busily breaking wind. Which constitutes life of course, although not, as Captain Kirk might say, as we'd like to know it.

The Sun newspaper in London has discovered Life on Mars, no not an old copy of the David Bowie record but real, live, living, breathing and farting microbes.
