In Dolce & Gabbana's Milan catwalk collection apparently, as Giorgio Armani has accused the rival duo of pinching his idea for 'Chinese-style' quilted silk trousers. D&G showed theirs on Saturday, Armani produced his on Sunday and, as you might imagine, was not happy. Giorgio told reporters gnomically, "now they copy, later they will learn." D&G riposted with, "As Picasso used to say, copying from others is inevitable but copying from oneself leads to sterility." Mr Blatherskite thinks something may have been lost in translation. Victoria Beckham is in Milan at the moment, keeping an eye on husband David, who's playing for Milan, as well as the catwalk. Maybe she can bring the boys together.
