Captain Kirk touches a raw nerve

That’s actor William Shatner, 77 but still best-known for his deathless portrayal of Captain Kirk in Star Wars.

Bill is starting a new show, Shatner’s Raw Nerve, on cable’s Biography Channel interviewing Hollywood types and other celebs about traumas in their lives.

First up is former child star Valerie Bertinelli, 48, whose problem is that she eats too much pizza. That and the drugs of course and the fact that she used to be married to Eddie Van Halen.

On the face of it Valerie doesn’t sound like a big catch for episode one, but give her a chance.

Others to come include actor Jon Voight (who’ll probably punch Bill if he only asks about Voight’s daughter Angelina Jolie), reality star Judge Judy and pornstress Jenna Jameson.

Now the latter should be interesting. Mr Blatherskite seems to remember Bill once enjoying a brief interlude as a Playboy photographer.

Will Jenna ask him if he had some film in his camera?

William Shatner never starred in “Star Wars”. “Star Wars” is a 6 movie trilogy and one of the highest grossing franchises of all time. Shatner starred in the orginal “Star Trek”-a three season television series that was brought back (without Shatner) after fans campaigned for it for 12 years. And yes, we will always know him as the captain of the Enterprise.

A trilogy is actually a group of 3 movies, not 6. Starwars is a 6 Movie Saga.
