Quite apart from the fact that just about everything on TV, even in the reality programmes, is carefully choreographed behind the scenes, the Gordon and Jamie brands depend on regular outpourings of emotion and fruity language. If Channel 4 want to make a a really edgy show that lifts us off our sofas, how about a Gordon or Jamie offering where they don't swear at all?
