Here’s the unfortunate Nhlanhla Nene who, apart from being a sub-editor’s nightmare, is a South African MP.
Actually it’s the chair that gives way (Jeremy Paxman will be buying one for Newsnight).
The South African Broadcasting Corporation says “all necessary precautions are being put in place to avoid a similar incident.” That’ll be buying a new chair then.
There are also another couple of howlers involving, you’ve guessed it, George Bush.
That’s the way to treat politicians!
