For most people Australia is still a pretty desirable place but it’s had a few problems recently; heating up like a cauldron with attendant droughts and gang troubles among its cocktail of ethnic minorities.
Also Aussies come across as a little too far in your face on the world stage, particularly its cricketers.
This was compounded recently by an Australia Tourism campaign with the catchy title, “where the bloody hell are you?’ which, although it had its fans, hardly appeared welcoming.
Now it’s signed up one of its favourite sons, Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann, to show its sensitive side. Which, to be fair, he does. You can see it here.
